I was lucky i found what i love to do early in life. Was i started apple in my parent’s garage when i was 20.
We work hard and in ten years apple has grown from just 2 of us in a garage into a 2 billion dollar company on over 4000 employees.
We just released our lastest creation: the Macintosh a year earlier and i just turned 30: and then i got fired.
How can you get fired from a company you started?
What has beed the focus of my entire adult life was gone.
And it was devastating.
I really didn’t know what to do for a few months.
I felt i let my generation of entrepreneurs down. I was a public failure and i was really thinking of running away of the Valley. But something slowly begin to dawn on me. I still love what i did.
We are going to make it ore break it based on if we can provide products for higher education and services and relationships to higher education that no one else provides.
I think we need to spend 100% of our time thinking on that. And if we can’t do that we are going to go broke.
So i just decided to start over. I didn’t see it then but i later realize that being fired for apple was the best thing ever happen to me. The heaviness of being successful.
